The winning stories for the Love Story Competition are…

After much deliberation, the jury has finally reached a decision on who the winners of the Love Story Competition are, and just in time for Saint Valentine’s Day!! It was a tough choice but the three members of the jury finally agreed on two winning entries; one for adults, and one for teens and kids. They also picked two entries that they felt deserved a special award. So, here are the winners…
Adult Winner: Love and football? This might just be the perfect couple for some of you! Well, it certainly is for Toni Pich. Toni has written a love story set in a football stadium. He has won the first prize with his story “Love is in the stadium”. Congratulations Toni from your teacher Deby and the rest of the staff at Mind the Gap! His prize is a bottle of wine and some chocolates!
Teens and Kids Winner: The first prize goes to “Draw my life”. It is a very touching love story. It includes an artistic representation which you can watch on a video link. This story was written by Roser Rives (3rd ESO), Nil Fenoy and Oriol Montiel (both are 4th ESO) Well done to the three of you!
Special Award (for social awareness): The jury were so impressed with “Love is for everybody” that it decided to create a category for social awareness. This story was written by Marc and Maria Badia, Júlia Pérez, Jaume Jimènez and Martina Codina. They are all 5th class students in primary school. Their story is about tolerance and respect. It is a mature and well-written story. Congratulations!
Special Award (for just being a fun story!). The jury thoroughly enjoyed a story by Gemma Pla and Marc Montero (both of them are in 1st ESO). Their story is called “Caillou’s Wife”. It is original and entertaining. For this reason, Gemma and Marc will also receive a prize!
Happy Saint Valentine’s Day to you all!
